- Lots of different approaches, and the free book is really interesting. (A lot)

What do you think about the course format?

- Course format is excellent if there is a good group. For a small group with students whose motivation is very different, it would be better with more "how to do this in a good way" teaching. Perhaps refer more strictly to the book. I had no problems finding info on my own, but several others didn't manage that. So the presentations were very uneven in quality, I felt I learnt the most from reading literature and Berk's comments, and very little from my classmates. (Good)

Did the course reach its goals (see the goals on the course page)?

- I would have liked more specific information about good error metrics, best practices, smart workflows etc. (Well)

What do you think of the course material?

- Book was great and Berks projects apparently came more or less directly from the book so I read the book alongside with the lecture notes. (Very good)
- Some sections needs more fleshing out than an image on a slide and a one-time verbal description. The extra help hours and added matplotlib tutorials helped bridge this gap, but some more work can still be done. (Not so good)

Did you look up information from the references given in lectures?

Did you have sufficient physics background for the projects?

- Honestly, I suck at physics and don't have "physics intuition". I would like to say the physics level was too easy, but for me it was just right. (Physics level was good)

What do you think about the level of programming required?

- The course was very open-ended so I could make programming as hard/easy as I wanted. (Good)
- the programming in itself is not advanced, however this is not a programming course. Instead, the challenge (and focus) was on modelling the simulations. (Good)

Was it clear what to do in the projects?

- Sometimes it was very clear, sometimes not at all. Reading the book helped a lot. (Clear)
- I've more than once spent an hour just trying to understand the question. This can be due to the slim way the questions are put, or in the scarcity of description in the material (presentations) which makes it hard to spot what you're asking for. More descriptions! Maybe in the comment field on each presentation? (Unclear)

Would you prefer more open ended projects?

- I think the open endedness was fine. It would be nice to see some concrete examples of how to use the methods in the project. For example, you make a million random walk polymers - now what do you do with them? (No)

Was the workload OK for a 6 HP (4 full weeks) course?

- This is hard to judge as we had two very work-heavy courses simultaneously. The adapted workload which was agreed upon during the course would be sufficient, if the "lessened" load is spread out better (the first few weeks were already over and stressful) (Too much work)

Do you have suggestions for new simulation topics?

- Would be nice with more agent-based simulation, like ant algorithms, or simple genetic algorithms. (Yes (please comment))
